Call for Proposals

PloneConf is back: Maastricht, 21–27 September 2026. Whatever you have been building on Plone, this is where you show it. Proposals for talks, trainings, and sprints are open.

Deadline: 31 July (Anywhere on Earth) — tell us what you've got.

Share your experience and knowledge

Whatever you do with Plone, there is a place for you on the programme — building it, deploying it, designing on it, editing in it, deciding to run it, researching with it. Developers and integrators, first-time speakers and conference regulars: bring the thing you know.

Never spoken before? Good — we want you there. We help every presenter find their feet, on stage and off, and we build the programme to be as varied as the community: different voices, different countries, different levels, different topics.

You do not need a finished abstract to propose your talk. The idea, and a working description of what you would show, is enough for us to consider. If accepted, we will help you bring it into shape.

Talk proposals are welcome in English, German and French. The conference is primarily held in English.

Sprints (post-conference, Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September)

Sprint topics do not need to be submitted in advance. Sprint signups happen at the conference, with topics presented during the sprint stand-up. If you would like to propose a sprint topic in advance or coordinate a focused sprint, please reach out to the Programme Committee directly.

Submit a proposal

Co-authored proposals are welcome. The primary speaker is the contact for review communications.

Questions, clarifications, or a desire to talk through an idea before submitting? The Programme Committee is reachable by email — contact details on the conference site. We are happy to help, whatever your level of experience.

Feel unsure about presenting? Let us know, and we'll connect you with an experienced presenter that will help you to get on that stage and shine!

Review process

The Programme Committee reviews every proposal in a single stage.

What we look for:

  • A real contribution — something the community can use, learn from, or build on.
  • A varied programme — different voices, geographies, experience levels, and topics.
  • New and non-native-English speakers — we'll support you in getting on the stage.

We may reach out informally before deciding, to clarify or sharpen a proposal. The committee curates and decides.

You will hear back by Monday 24 August 2026 — accepted, waitlisted, or declined. Declined proposals get a short note; if you'd like to talk it through, reach out. The schedule goes live by Friday 28 August 2026.
