Jens Klein
Jens W. Klein wrote his first line of code in 1983 in ZX81 Basic, discovered Python in 2002, and has been hooked on Plone since version 1.0 - long enough that "legacy code" often means "code Jens wrote." He was a maintainer of Archetypes, co-creator of ArchGenXML, and helped lay the foundations of PloneFormGen. Since 2003 his specialty has been the unglamorous but essential work: profiling, stabilizing, and speeding up the Plone core for large, demanding, real-world deployments.
Based in Innsbruck, Austria, Jens has run the consultancy Klein & Partner KG since 2004 and co-founded the BlueDynamics Alliance, a not-only-Plone-focused "community of trust." He's a Plone Foundation member since 2005, a former member of the Board of Directors, and a long-standing member of the Plone Security Team. He'll happily talk architecture, performance, and why your catalog query is slower than it should be.
