Alexander Pilz is the owner and CEO of syslab.com, a Munich software company that helps organisations reduce digital complexity so people can focus on what really matters.

Syslab has worked with EU-OSHA, the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work, since 2005, and helped create OiRA — the agency's workplace risk-assessment platform, used across member states — inside that relationship in 2011. That two-decade partnership shapes his interest in the practical side of digital autonomy: reducing unnecessary dependencies, improving information flows, making decisions more transparent, and building digital systems that remain understandable over time.

Over more than 25 years in management and international business, he has learned that complexity is rarely solved by adding more tools. It is reduced by clearer priorities, better structures, better communication, and technology used with discipline.
